Work

Last month, I split up a client's Kubernetes cluster into smaller Docker Swarm clusters. It was a lot of work, but it was definitely worth it. K8s was overkill for this client, and the setup wasn't very good anyway. The new setup is completely automated with Terraform and Ansible. Except for setting configuration values, spinning up new instances doesn't require manual steps at all. It was a fun project, but it also required overtime to get it done on time and up to my standards.

Side Projects

Unfortunately, my workload meant that I had to put Back to the Pascal on the back burner. I still worked on it almost every morning, but I had neither the time nor the energy to work on the next video. So that's high on my list for this month.

It's also been a while since I worked on Bookshelf. Every now and then, my wife asks for little improvements or features, and I've been telling her that I'm going to implement them soon. I guess "soon" has finally come.

DJing

I got confirmation that I'm going to play a DJ set at an event this summer. That wasn't really a surprise. I've done it for the past two years, and I kind of expected to be asked again this year. I haven't DJed much in the past six months, so practicing is next on my list.

Fitness

I recently joined a gym. As much as I love swimming, I feel like building strength is becoming more important as I get older. Instead of hitting the pool three to four times a week, I'm planning to do two sessions in the pool and two at the gym. Let's see how that goes.
